ENGLISH RECITATION COMPETITION
Children love to sing, recite and have fun with words & rhymes. Poems stimulate them to learn the language naturally and quickly. Keeping this in mind ‘English Recitation Competition’ was held on 17th Oct 2016. Students of Class Nursery presented the poems with beautiful props, gestures and voice modulation.
Winning doesn’t always mean being first , Winning means You are doing better than you‘ve done before.
The enthusiastic Pre – School celebrated the Prize distribution Ceremony on 8th Sept 2016. The mood was festive and upbeat. The achievers of various competitions (Recitation, Colouring, Fancy dress etc) were honoured by Principal & Co-ordinator. Winners were felicitated with merit certificates and participants were encouraged by giving participation certificates.

Hindi Recitation Competition was organized on 6th September 2016 for Nursery kids to enhance their confidence, voice modulation and oratory skills. Students recited their rhymes along with the props. Each student was assessed on the basis of voice modulation, fluency, presentation & confidence.Students actively participated in the competition and it was a pleasure to see their performances.
FRUIT CHAT ACTIVITY
To inculcate the importance of fruits in our diet, a fruit chat making activity on Teachers Day was organized for the little ones. Apples, bananas, pears , guava and many other varieties of fruits were brought by the children. They greatly enjoyed munching on their own mixed fruits platters. They were told that fruits should be washed before eating and a variety of fruits should be included in the meals every day. Overall it was a healthy learning experience.
ENGLISH RECITATION COMPETITION
English Recitation Competition was held on 29th August 2016. Students of Class- K.G participated in competition with full zest & zeal. Students recited the poem with expression and great enthusiasm. Beautiful props related to the poem were used. Voice modulation of some children was par excellence. Appreciation was given in the form of certificates to the deserving ones.
o blend learning with fun and develop confidence in our little ones, a fancy dress competition on Janamashtmi was organized on 20th August 2016 for Classes Pre Nur- K.G. Children came brightly dressed in , as Radha ,Krishna and other colourful attires. They look adorable in the traditional outfits. The enthusiasm shown by the participants was mesmerising.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
An imaginative, fun-filled and exciting colouring competition was organized on Independence Day for the little ones to bring immense joy and open new vistas of creativity for them. All the little artists were really engrossed in their colouring to make it best. Three best entries in each class were given certificates.
Teej festival was celebrated at Pre School with great Pomp and enthusiasm. Tiny Tots were dressed up in vibrant & traditional and western green attires. They danced on various Punjabi songs and enjoyed swings in the school garden. On the whole it was a wonderful and enthusiastic celebration.

FUN TRIP TO PATIALA
A fun filled trip was organized for the students of Nursery & K.G to “Patiala Fun world” on 24th May 2016. The fun began with the refreshment. The children were full of excitement as they were enjoying Rides, swings,5 D theatre, rain Dancing, thrilling water slides etc. after they filled their tummies with healthy and delicious lunch. Overall, it was an enjoyable day. They all had a joyous time along with their teachers.
TALENT HUNT (NURSERY)
A Talent is a combination of something you love a great deal and something you can love yourself in.Talent Hunt competition was organized in Pre – School for Class- Nursery on 20.05.16. The aim of the program was to bring out the hidden talents and potentials of the tiny tots. The little champs showed their talent in “Solo Dance, Solo Song, Bhajan, Shabad, Gatka” etc. The audience was spell – bound to see the excellent performance of the children.
MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
“God could not be everywhere therefore he made mothers”.
Mother’s day was celebrated in the Pre – School with great fervour. Students of the Pre –School showcased their love for their mother by making beautiful cards. Each child experienced a sense of pride while expressing his/her gratitude and love towards the most lovable person…………. The Mother.
TALENT HUNT (K.G)
“Your talent is god’s gift to you,
What you do with it is your gift back to God”
A Talent Hunt Competition was organized at Pre- School for Class- K.G to encourage the children to come forward and show their talents. There was an ambience of joy. Children were actively engaged in exhibiting their talent, their laughter and smiles indicating the sense of involvement. Students exhibited their talents in various activities . They sang songs ,bhajan, shabad, performing dances etc. The performances were appreciated and applauded by the Principal Mam and Judges.
HINDI RECITATION COMPETITION
“Poetry is the music of the soul, it is a deal of joy and wonder”.
Poetry is meant for enjoyment and children love to express their thoughts , feelings and rhyme through music of words. Taking all these facts in consideration a Hindi poem Recitation Competition for the Class K.G was organized on 28th April,2016. They recited their poems with a lot of Zeal and excitement. The poems reflected their confidence and expression of thoughts . The performances were appreciated and applauded by the teachers and the judges.
EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Pre- School celebrated ‘Earth Day’ on 22nd April 2016. Our Students were made to witness the wonders of nature through a walk around the bushes, flowers and trees of the school garden. The day was dedicated to ‘Nature love’. Students were made to touch, smell & feel the soft leaves , tender buds, hard trunks. Our tiny tots along with their teachers were dressed in green colour attire. The importance of preserving nature was told to the children. The day ended with tiny tots reciting the poem on ‘Mother Nature’.
ENGLISH CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITION
Keeping in view the benefits of good handwriting a Calligraphy Competition was conducted for the students of Class Nursery & K.G on 23rd Jan 2016. Students participated with enthusiasm and completed their calligraphy sheets neatly and beautifully. The main motive of this competition was to make children aware about the correct formation of letters / alphabets. Students got an opportunity and a platform to showcase their best work.

Jingle Bell …… Jingle Bell…….. Jingle all the way
The most awaited ‘Christmas Festival’ was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm on 24th Dec. 2015. The entire Pre School was aesthetically decorated with Christmas trees, Santa masks & bells. The celebration began with the singing rhymes. The children were told about the birth of lord Jesus. Little Santa’s and the fairies spread love and happiness to celebrate the birth of jesus Christ. Later they relished the tasty refreshment and danced together.
SHABAD SINGING ACTIVITY
“Satgur Nanak Pragateya , Mitti Dhund jag chaanan Hoya”
The Prakash Utsav i.e birth anniversary of the first sikh guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji, was celebrated with much spiritual fervor and faith by the Pre- School. Shabad singing activity was held. Soul touching melodious shabad was performed by the students. Students also chanted ‘Mool Mantra’in a chorus.This activity was organized to enhance the confidence of the students. Students actively participated in the activity and it was a pleasure to see their performance.
With glems of diyas and echos of chants, the happiness was felt in the air, as the Pre-School had a sparkling Diwali Celebration on 9th Nov 2015 i.e Monday. Tiny tots were dressed up in vibrant traditional attires. Children were told about the significance of Diwali which marks the victory of good over evil. To imbibe the creativity amongst the students, several activities were conducted in the classrooms where in children made beautiful cards decorated diyas & candles with the help of the respective teachers. They were shown a small Power point Presentation related to ‘SAY NO TO CRACKERS’ on Diwali. It was indeed an unforgettable experience for all. The students wished each other HAPPY DIWALI.
ENGLISH SHORT SPEECH COMPETITION
To enhance the speaking skills of the students ‘English Short Speech Competition’ was organized for Class Nursery on 6th Nov 2015. The contestants were given various topics and were marked for their confidence, fluency and overall presentation.

A prize distribution ceremony for the Pre- School was held to honor the winners of various activities & competition. Winners were felicitated with Merit certificates .Participants were encouraged by giving participation certificates. Their efforts were applauded and they were further encouraged to strive for excellence.

Keeping this in mind ”English Recitation Competition” was organized on 28th Oct,2015. The students of Class Nursery participated enthusiastically in this competition. They were prepared with the rhyme of their choice and the selection was based on mainly three criteria’s i.e Presentation, Confidence and Performance. Overall the participants showed their confidence, expressions, actions and talent in the competition.
MATHS CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITION

Maths Calligraphy Competition was conducted for students for classes Pre- Nursery. The students were judged on the basis of correct formation 7 neatness of numbers. All the students participated enthusiastically. They put their best efforts and wrote in a very neat handwriting. The competition brought out the talent and creativity of students.

NUTRITIOUS SANDWICH MAKING ACTIVITY
Nutritious sandwich Making activity held on 15th Oct 215 at Pre- School to celebrate WORLD FOOD DAY. Fitness is the mantra of living a healthy life. The main objective of the activity is to impart healthy eating habits among the students and keep away from ill effects of eating junk food. The kids were wearing chef caps. Preparation done by mother teachers and the tiny tots. The tiny tots had loads of fun making the boring sandwiches interesting by making funny faces and smiles on them by using sauce. The children were also told about the nutritive value of each and every ingredient that used in making the sandwiches. It was fun filled experience fun for the tiny tots at Pre-school.
FANCY DRESS COMPETITION
A Fancy Dress Competition for Class Pre-Nur was held on i.e 7th Sept 2015. The students were all colourful and dressed as Radha, Krishna,Gopi & Gwalas. It was a competition that not only laid emphasis on the costume but also give the little hearts of Kinder Garten a platform to build their self confidence. The tiny tots enthusiastically participated in the competition . The competition ended with the words “ Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki ”.Winners were felicitated with certificates. Teej festival was celebrated in the Pre-School with great enthusiasm on 18 August 2015. Beautiful decorated swings was hung in the School garden to exhibit the religious and cultural emotions and happiness. Children had a smile and twinkling eyes after they saw decorated swings with flowers. Tiny tots were dressed up in vibrant traditional and western yellow attires. Miss & Master Teej were selected& were adorned with beautiful sashes. Truly it was a day filled with fun and frolic for the kids.

The Nation on Independence Day
To inculcate the value of patriotism a Special Assembly was organized on 14 th Aug 2015 to celebrate Independence Day. The students of Pre-School showcased the diverse culture of India by reciting poems ,singing melodious songs and displaying heart throbbing dances.
The highlight of the programme was a wonderful dance performance by Chesta & Aviral on the song ‘Desh Mera Rangeela’. The Pre School corridors were decorated with tricolor balloons & kites. With immense happiness the tiny buds of Kindergarten expressed their love towards their Nation and wished everyone a Happy Independence Day.
FANCY DRESS COMPETITION
Fancy dress competition was held on 12 th August 2015. It was a competition that not only laid emphasis on the costume but also gave the little hearts of Kindergarten a platform to build their self confidence and explore their inner strength. The tiny tots of Nursery & K.g dressed up in their most vibrant colourful costumes and themes touched the hearts of one and all. They expressed their creativity by innovatively dressing up like Rani Laxmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, Nehru Ji, Khalsa, Rajasthani, Punjaban and many more characters. Overall it was an exuberant show. HOLIDAY HOMEWORK DISPLAY
Springdales Public organized the Holiday Homework display for Pre-School on 8 th July 2015. The tiny tots exhibited all facets of multiple intelligence, creativity & talent in their Holiday Homework & Project Work. The esthetic & meticulous display of projects, models, charts, wall hangings & best out of waste material exemplified the Springdalians talent exquisitely. The Pre School corridors come alive with vibrant colours bringing out the best in art & craft. Such an innovative work would not have been possible without the guidance and motivation of parents.
ENGLISH GROUP RECITATION
For students of Class- Nur & K.G a group recitation competition was organized on 6 th Aug 2015 under its weekly activity. Around 150 students participated in the competition. This activity was organized to enhance the confidence &speaking skills of the students. The group from K.G Lily walked away with the First prize in category-I whereas Nursery Sunflower
bagged the First position in category II.
VISIT TO FIRE STATION
Fields trips are always a fine way to broaden the minds of the students and it helps to provide them more knowledge in different fields. On 4th August 2015 our tiny little stars of nursery were taken to fire station as part of field trips. The fire brigade team demonstrated the procedure of extinguishing fire. Students observe demonstrations of firemen using different types of water hoses to put off fire. They also saw working of a fire engine. After coming back to school teachers sowed the students fire extinguisher boxes placed in the school itself at various places for emergency usages. This was a great learning experience for students.
